Transforming Tomorrow's Futures Today. 

We have the resources and people to make a difference in today and the future of our youth. PACE, over the years, has served over 2,000 students in our mentoring and sports activity programs. The program is led by highly qualified Life Skills Mentors and Coaches. The mentors/coaches meet in small group settings and 1:1 sessions providing mentoring that empowers our participants to be successful and reach their potential. We are a strength-based program and utilize such methods of empowerment.

Mentoring: Our mentors provide education, a positive environment and experiences that enhance life skills. We provide one on one and group mentoring activities to improve skills for youth to be able to make better decisions that result in positive outcomes in their personal and academic lives. Motivational Speakers:  Guest speakers address relevant teen issues with the focus on POSITIVE results of good decision-making.  Parent/Caregiver Engagement: Special information sessions are held for parents/caregivers with focus on the importance of their involvement with respect to student success. Basketball Camps:Summer and Winter Programming This is a week long basketball program that includes comprehensive basketball skill development and basketball tournaments. Our motto is play hard, work hard, study hard, excel in life and beat the odds. In addition to working hard and having fun, participants engage in a number of activities. These activities address concerns involving social challenges, teamwork, confidence building, academics and accountability.  


Saturday Basketball Academy PACE offers a year-round Saturday Basketball Academy. This academy provides fun physical activities while developing basketball fundamentals, sportsmanship, discipline and respect. Motivational guest speakers are scheduled each Saturday; inspiring our students to be the best they can be on and off the court. Nutritional information is provided along with a lunch that represents healthy food choices.


Success from these Camps

Many of these camp attendees have successfully moved on to division 1, 2 and 3 schools and performed at a high level on the court and in the classroom. Honorable mention includes approximately 10 attendees achieving NBA status. In addition, approximately 100 attendees have had the opportunity to play basketball in Europe and other countries. 


Mentor Training:
PACE provides staff to accommodate training to our educators in the area of strength-based practice, diversity, family dynamics, restorative justice and institutional racism.


School Assemblies:

Provide School Assemblies on topics to inspire leadership, increase self-worth and sportsmanship. We have invited prominent speakers such as, Quincy Lewis former Gopher great/NBA Player and Larry McKenzie, Hall of Fame.
